Our Volunteer Opportunities

Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is a dedicated group of community-minded individuals who bring valuable expertise, insight, and a shared passion for serving the Sundre area. Their responsibilities include reviewing policies and procedures, setting organizational priorities, supporting fundraising events, and guiding communication strategies, among other key roles. Regular attendance at monthly meetings ensures thoughtful decision-making and steady progress toward our goals. Together, their leadership helps bring our shared vision to life: A connected, resilient, and thriving community— a place to belong.
Event Host
Do you love bringing people together and creating joyful experiences? We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help host events for our seniors! From leading fun outings to welcoming newcomers and helping everyone feel included, this role is all about connection and community. You’ll have opportunities to share your ideas, enjoy flexible time commitments, and receive training to set you up for success. Come help us create smiles and meaningful memories for our seniors 💛
Friendly Callers
Step into the world of our Friendly Callers, where weekly connections are made with care and compassion. Our dedicated volunteers reach out to individuals who look forward to their calls each week. More than a simple check-in, these conversations lay the groundwork for meaningful connections and growing friendships—helping to bridge gaps and ease feelings of loneliness. With no face-to-face meetings required, our program focuses on the comfort of a friendly voice: a steady source of kindness, conversation, and support when the world feels a little too quiet.
Income Tax Program
Join Our Dynamic Tax Preparation Team! Do you have experience preparing basic individual tax returns? We’d love to hear from you! In this role, you’ll meet with clients to gather relevant tax information and use our secure online platform to accurately prepare and file returns. While our busiest season is March and April, we provide tax services year-round. Training is provided, and prior tax preparation experience is considered an asset. If you’re detail-oriented, client-focused, and ready to put your skills to work, this is a great opportunity to contribute your expertise and be part of a supportive team.
Snow Angel
Being a Snow Angel is easy. Simply watch for signs posted on your neighbours’ lawns that indicate they need help with snow removal. These signs give you permission to shovel their walkway or driveway. This is a completely volunteer-based program—no scheduling, commitments, or time restrictions required. After a snowfall, you’ll know when a neighbour needs help, and you can step in when you’re able.
The Den S.Y.C.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people in our community? Join us at The Den, where we’re dedicated to supporting, empowering, and connecting local youth. We’re looking for caring, committed individuals who truly want to make a positive impact.
